Growing up outside of Chicago, Maggie loved fashion from the beginning though that wasn't her first career.

Before becoming a lingerie designer, Maggie earned a Master's degree in education and spent nearly a decade working at nonprofits and teaching in the Chicago Public Schools-a career which she found both challenging and rewarding.

But a summer at London College of Fashion changed her career path. The creative environment of the school rekindled Maggie's love of design and desire to find a way to merge the the worlds of fashion and philanthropy.

Over the next few years Maggie pursued this dream, moving to New York and creating two successful brands in the fashion industry-The Giving Bride and The Lingerie Selection.

Started in 2012, The Giving Bride creates beautiful, ethically produced, bridal lingerie and accessories that give a portion of each purchase price back to women’s charities.

The Giving Bride has been heavily featured in print and digital press including Elle, People Style Watch, WWD, InStyle, Harper's Bazaar, Teen Vogue, and E! Online. It is sold nationwide in luxury lingerie boutiques and has been purchased by influencers and A-List celebrities.

The Lingerie Selection which was born out of a desire to fill a gap in the market and build a trade show geared toward independent designers. As The Lingerie Selection has grown, designers from around the world have presented their collections to press, high end boutiques, and department stores, while finding support in this innovative and collaborative show.

In an effort to continue to immerse herself in the fashion industry, Maggie began freelance writing covering Fashion Week, industry events, and doing trend analysis. Through this work, Maggie has been able to share her love of fashion with a broader audience.
